In case you take too much bread daily or other wheat made foods, you are risking your health.


Here are the side effects of eating too much bread;

1 – Causes irritable bowel syndrome

Bread contains a high amount of fructan, carbohydrate made of fructose units. Once the bread is consumed in high amounts, fructan tends to ferment in the intestines hindering bowel discharge. This causes constipation, abdominal pain, diarrhoea or even bloating.


2 – Causes allergic reactions

Different people respond to exposure to different allergens. Some have an allergy to wheat and once they consume it in high amounts in bread, they suffer from bloating and also stomach cramps. Those who have a gluten intolerance experience chronic diarrhoea, anaemia, constipation, sudden weight loss or weight gain

3 – Causes high blood pressure
The combination of high calories reduced nutrients and increased salt from bread intake increase blood pressure which if not controlled might result to death.


4 – Causes nutrition deficiency

Eating too much bread can lead to nutrition deficiency. In case you take too much bread without considering healthy foods, you are on your way of developing nutrition deficiency. With time, if you are dependent on bread more often, you will suffer from slow would healing, dry hair among other signs of nutrition deficiency.
