Isaac Nana Koree, the Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kwahu Afram North Constituency has donated 2 packs of roofing sheets to the people of Mafikope.
The donation, which was done on Thursday October 1st, 2020 was to aid the community in renovating their market.
The community expressed their gratitude to the Parliamentary Candidate and promised him of their vote come December 7.
“We are much grateful to Nana Koree for responding to our plea. We are assuring him of our vote come December 7” they said
Nana Koree has also promised to assist the community to complete their Clinic Project started over 10 years ago and also help renovate their school building.
The community initiated their Clinic Project somewhere in 2010. The project was to aid in access to good health care but has to be abandoned due to lack of fund.
“We initiated this project on our own 10 years ago. The Member of Parliament as at then, the Late Hon. Emmanuel Aboagye Didieye (may his soul rest in peace) assisted us with some bags of cements and promised helping us to roof it before his untimely death. Since then, we have communicated to the District Assembly through our Assembly Member but the situation remains the same” they lamented.
The community is currently using a wooden structure as the only CHPS Compound.
Nana Koree has also assisted the community to renovate their only source of water (borehole) since it broke down two years ago.
Mafikope is a farming and fishing community in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District. It produces majority of the gari that comes from the District.
