Muslim Community Appreciates The NPP – Chief Imam

Alhaji Fusieni Osman, the Chief Imam for the Kwahu Afram Plains North had express his profound gratitude to the New Patriotic Party for their supports to the Islamic Community in the District.

Speaking at a durbar organised on Wednesday, October 14 to welcome the second lady of the Nation, Hajia Samira Bawumia to the district, the Chief Imam stated that the NPP has done a lot for the Islamic Community.

“The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has done a lot for us. I can recall when we had no basic school in our community. Our children used to loiter around aimless but thanks to the NPP under former President Kuffour, we were given a basic school” he stated.

The Chief Imam further made it known that, the District Assembly under the leadership of the NPP has built for them a new Junior High School block pending commissioning.

Alhaji Fuseini Osman further appealed to the Second Lady to come to their aid as they are on the process f establishing a College of Education.

“We seeked for assistance from your husband when we were putting up our Central Mosque. He assisted us with 100 bags of cement and an amount I can’t recollect now. We appreciate him for that. We are currently on the process of putting up a College of Education. We will plead with you to come to our aid to help us achieve our dream” he added.

The durbar was organised for the Second Lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia to meet the Islamic and Fulani Communities in the Kwahu Afram Plains North and South Constituencies.

The Chief Imam also made it known that, his comments were devoid of political affiliation.

“We all know Chiefs are not supposed to endulge in active politics. My comments today are devoid of politics but facts” he stated.
