Ghana Football Association(GFA) Debunks Thomas Partey Sack Report – See Their Justifications.
Ghana Football Association (GFA) has finally confirmed that Arsenal midfielder Thomas Teye Partey did not travel with the Black Stars squad to face Morocco.
GFA also debunks the earlier report that says the midfielder has been sack from the camp of the Black Stars by the head coach.
According to them, Partey did not travel with the squad for personal reasons but not what the report says.
Early Monday report says the Arsenal midfielder has been sacked by his head coach C K Akonnor as he chose holiday over training sessions.
See the statement by the Ghana Football Association;
“Thomas Partey traveled to Cape Coast on Thursday to meet Coach Charles Akonnor over some personal matters. After the meeting which lasted for about an hour, the coach excused him from the trip to Morocco and asked him to report to camp for the second game against Ivory Coast that will be held at Accra.
“As the 1st Deputy Captain of the Black Stars, Thomas later joined his colleagues in training to show solidarity and support before leaving for Accra. The Arsenal midfielder will therefore team up with the rest of the squad on Thursday when the team returns from Morocco”.
