Maurice Ampaw a legal practitioner has said that the running mate for NDC Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has no moral right to comment on Kennedy Agyapong’s outburst and is the last person he expected to comment on the outburst.
On Thursday 10 September 2020. Naana Opoku Agyemang compared Kennedy Agyapong’s verbal abuse of a high court judge to Montie three case.
The vice-presidential candidate of NDC uttered that the actions of the MP are against the law and more by graver than Montie three.
She urged that a law should be applied fairly and should see the MP tried in a court for verbally attacking a judge.
She said: “If you are going to talk about name and shame, it should be consistent. If you are going to apply the laws, it should be consistent. So, if another person does the same and just comes to apologise to the end of the story. That is corruption and I want to see that also highlighted because we are not allowing us to abide by the rules of telling the truth”.
But in a disproof, Maurice called out Jane as a hypocrite.
The legal practitioner bashed her statement that the actions of Kennedy Agyapong are nothing to be compared to the Montie 3, stating that the Montie 3 not only did they abuse the chief justice but also threatened to rape her.
He added that he can’t describe Jane’s hypocrisy and also what the Montie 3guys did was a crime; the threat of death and attempts of rape but Kennedy’s own was just a verbal attack of which he had to apologise for.
